    The Christmas Thread

Post  Stormwinder on Sun Dec 06, 2009 12:57 pm

What are your plans this Christmas? Visiting family? Shopping? Parks? Going anywhere on Christmas? Parties? Anything?
I got all of my Christmas Shopping done. I will be staying home on Christmas. Last night I went to a Christmas party that my church had. I will be going to a family Christmas get-together in the middle of the month.

Well, shopping is just about done..I'll be visiting family on Christmas Eve and New Year's, so I probably won't be going anywhere. A plan to Disney World is in the making, except I don't know when.

I just love the Christmas season when it comes around. You have to make the best of it.

For Christmas Eve morning, I am bowling in a tournament with my dad against a couple of friends. That night I am going to a X-Mas party with some relatives then X-Mas morning, open up some envolopes that will have gift cards and money in them. Right now I really don't have anything that I want so I have a feeling I am going to be storing them.
For dinner, my grandmother usually comes over, but since her leg is giving her trouble, that won't be happening.

For New Years, I went to a friend's house last year which as awesome, but I don't think that's going to happen this year. I do want to go to a party this year though.

Every Christmas Eve, we go to this one development that lines luminary bags on every street. It looks so spectacular, we've been doing it since I was at least in third or fourth grade. It's one of the best decorated developments in this area, with or without the bags.

Just want to wish you all a very Blessed holiday!

Same here. We'll be going back sometime in Sept 2010. Just don't know the exact time yet. It will be my eighth time to the World.

I went over to Best Buy to do some scouting to figure out what to get. Right now I want to get a new cell phone because earlier this week, I tried calling someone on it and the call would fail everytime (I'd dial the number, the ringtone would usually go, but it didn't, and I'd get a maeesage saying "Call failed" when I'd have like 5 bars of signal).
I would really like to get a phone of my choice and not some cheepo Go-Phone for $70. I'd have no problem buying a $250 phone because:
    A. I have a gift card
    B. I'd use it more
    C. I'm going to college soon
    D. I really have nothing else that I want
My parents don't really feel cozy with the idea, but that's probably because they never grew up with one.

Could it be the network? Maybe you should get it looked at at the company store to really know what's wrong before you buy a new one. But, a new phone couldn't hurt Wink - especially one with all the features that will last through college for you. You might as well get one like that instead of a cheap one that needs to be replaced every year.
