    Founders Hall Fire

Post  Stormwinder on Mon Dec 21, 2009 9:29 pm

A fire broke out around 8:00 this morning at Founders Hall in Hershey. There was an electrical malfunction Christmas tree in the rotunda. It took fire crews about two hours to clear the smoke from the room. No one was hurt. According to the news , the fire was small, but there was a thick, black smoke that filled the rotunda. The smoke caused damage to the rotunda ceiling, auditorium and cafeteria. The ceiling in the rotunda was coated in gray residue. The floor was covered in soot. Fake presents that were under the tree were burnt and scattered around the floor.

From the way it looks, it's a good thing it wasn't up against a wall or something becuase if it caught one of those flags...
The tree looks half-burnt as well.
