In the spreadsheet, all the O's in the names for da plumbing, my connection is Orion's belt, which is near (Great Bear)

With the whole Orion's Belt idea I came up with, here is a picture of Orion, interesting enough, he's holding a rod in his hand... goldenRod85. Connected. I say so.

I'm seeing a lot adding up with this Orion's Belt thing. The guy is holding a rod. He is a hunter, and RIT mentioned somewhere about a hunters expadition. Also, Orion's Belt is near Ursa Major(Great Bear) I'm now seriously starting to think Orion's Belt could be the theme. In some research I did, it said Orion's Belt is the second most famous constellation aside from Ursa Major. So, I think it all makes sense

Astronomically speaking, Orion is no where near Ursa Major. Orion is a wintertime constellation so you don't even see it this time of year, and it's in the southern sky while Ursa Major is in the northern sky. I think the "O" is just a play on the O'Connell name as Frank O'Connell is the GM of the park.

But no one but us would make those astronomical observations other then us. The general public wouldn't even second guess it. And do you remember all the Southern Hemisphere hints we were getting?

Given all the hints, maybe the ride's name will be "Orion"? (They have one called Great Bear, so anything's possible imo.)

And maybe the 85 in Goldenrod is the angle of the first drop?

My favorite constellation is Orion. But to me the name doesn't fit...not study-wise, just gut-reaction feeling. Orion was a hunter. Is there any indication from any of the material we've seen so far that a hunter could be what we are looking for? If so, then maybe Orion is a good fit.

It seems that the track color is being shoved in our faces...yellow is cool. I would definitely prefer the dark green to blend in with the surroundings. At least it is a different color from any of our current coasters.

I'm thinking that the track color will be the "golden rod" color. Why else would they use that name in that password.

Hunters expedition was mentioned once or twice, in the Clay letter I think? It really actually all adds up if you think about it. Plus, Orion's Belt is the second most famous constellation aside from Ursa Major, according to a few articles I read. And, GB, I meant Orion's belt is visible from Ursa Major. Also, one of the VP's name is O'Brian. LOL, Sounds a heck of alot like Orion. Not to mention, Orion is holding a rod. Also, Orion is the son of Poseidon, god of the sea. A connection with the creek, since the coaster will be pretty much the god of Spring Creek. I'm seeing more and more facts add up with the Orion's belt stuff. It's actually making sense.

Well, maybe not quite just Orion's Belt as the name. But, they did name a coaster Great Bear, so anythings possible. Maybe something more Jazzyier. Razz But I think as of right now it's pretty safe to say Orion's Belt is the theme of this bad boy. Razz

The coaster's name is also related to the Hershey Bears. They won the Calder Cup the year before Great Bear opened. They were a great Bears team that year.

After reading all the links to Orion... I'm reminded in a way of the movie "Men In Black"...

"The Key to the universe is on Orion's Belt" And it ended with Orion being a handsome Tabbycat... But in turn- Orion was a small marble...

    On his collar.

If it does end up being Orion, I think it would be a stellar name.

Well done. Wink I do believe we had gut feelings a few months ago that the ride could really be astronomy-related. Whether it's a constellation or a star, we'll soon find out. I personally like the idea of the name being tied-in with Comet and Great Bear...You do have SDL as a wildcard, but still it would be interesting to see how the name game plays out.

I created a subtitled version of the voicemail message, which you can see below. A transcript also follows. Some things to note:

    • The voicemail password is 0852#
    • The first two voicemails are from Rocky LaMarcus and Jan Van der Velde.
    • The last voicemail from Fred O'Connell's wife asks who is singing the song in the backgroud. Is that a clue?
    • Products listed in the last voicemail include glazed apple danishes with nutella and vienna bread.
    • The Jensens (sp?) have plans with the O'Connells.
    • Can anyone understand what toy might've been left in Fred's pickup?
    • The name Carina is mentioned (presumably a daughter of the O'Connells or the Jensens). Carina happens to be the name of a constellation as well.

Hello, you have happened to reach Fred O’Connell at the design firm of O’Connell Plumbing and Drain. I invite you leave a message which should include your name and surname, which company you are with, and precisely what we can do for you. Thank you for taking the time to contact O’Connell Plumbing and Drain, and please remember to always live life by design.

Freddo – Rocky. Listen, we’ve got solid air footings over this thing, so you guys are good to go. There’s still an outside chance we hit some last remaining air-rock, but as far as major variables are concerned you can unleash your people.
I've seen the plans and gotta hand it to you partner, it's classic O'Connell Plumbing and drain.
What a skyrush dude, hats off my friend. Call Me.

Good day Mr. O'Connell, This is Jan Van Der Velde, Director of Comp... [silence] at AFW.
I've now left you several messages with specific requests regarding your work with RIT and LaMarcus Brothers.
Specifically, Mr. O'Connell, I need to know about your involvement with Hersheypark.

    [song]
I love this song. Who sings this?
Oh, hi hon. Hey, if you haven’t passed the store yet, could you pick up some glazed apple danishes with Nutella
and the Vienna Bread that Carina likes?
Hey, I made plans with the Jensens(?) tonight, and just wanted to be certain that girls have something for dessert. Love you, bye. Oh, and a dozen eggs too. Thanks Fred.
    Hey! Shoot!
Hey is [something] in your pickup? If so, would you bring it when you get home? Thanks, love you, bye!.

    More on Carina:

Carina is the keel of a ship. It was formerly part of the larger constellation Argo Navis (the ship Argo, of Jason and the Argonauts fame) until that constellation was divided in three. Carina contains the star Canopus, the second brightest in the sky, and rare supermassive star Eta Carinae, one of the largest observable star systems.

There are several nebulae in Carina, including the famous Eta Carinae nebula, formed when the star almost went Supernova in 1853 (technically, it happened in 8000 years ago, but the light reached us in 1853):

Below is a larger view of the entire nebula, not just the central star:

Parts of Carina, including Canopus, are visible from the southern US. However, none of the constellation is visible from Hershey, PA.

More "supernova" hint include the fact that the song at the beginning of the voicemail is Champagne Supernova. A facebook user identified the "Who sings this?" song as Der Kommissar by either Falco or After The Fire.

Hey I was just surfing the net for a bit and I discovered this site: http://www.ocplumbingdrain.com

I did a Whois search and it came up as identical to the LaMarcus Bros Whois result. As far as I can tell, it's only a splash page at the moment. But, it looks like a new part to the game!

I was also struck by the old fashioned winged facets - the whole picture looks like a representation of a wing rider given the camera angle - imo.

I agree, I think the background color is directly related to the ride.

On the RIT page, the background color defined in the css is #8CD2FD; this color looks like , the color of the supports on site.

On the LMB page, the background color defined in the css is #999; this color looks like .

On the OPD page, the background color defined in the css is #D09921; this color looks like .

Just before everyone gets ahead of themselves, #D09921 (the background color of the O'Connell Plumbing and Drain site) is not Goldenrod, which is defined as #DAA520.

For all intents and purposes i'd refer to that color as golden rod.... comparison, the left is "true" goldenrod and the right is the background color on the site.

So I was sent one of the trickets from Hershey. Since I will not be going up there this year I was wondering if anyone would like to trade one of the LaMarcus Brothers T-shirts for the ticket.

Im going to the park on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, hopefully I can do an update one of those days, I will also look for the supports as stated on FB, around the wildcat to see if it true. As for the sink I think it might just be the color for the ride as I did not see any hints about it. They also keep giving hints about water, im thinking the coaster could have a water element in it somewhere.

Same here. I may be able to get an update next Saturday, following by my next visit towards the end of the month. I haven't seen the construction site since June 5th, so I'm excited to the latest in the progress of what's going on.

Just a thought for the numerologists out there...
The only problem with O.P.D. is that it should be O.C.P.D. since the name of the company is abbreviated as oc in the website address.

I was getting a drink at the water fountain near the Bridge to ZooAmerica. I noticed a sticker placed on it for O’Connell Plumbing and Drain. It had some kind of phrase on it but I don't really remember what it said. Ill try to get a picture after work tomorrow...

Here's one of the many O'Connell Plumbing Drain stickers that are appearing at various restrooms/water fountains throughout the park:

They're all the same. But we should all get the hint. My guess is either this is related to the Comet Hollow restrooms relocating for construction, as well as the new coaster having somekind of water feature included. One of the questions asked by RIT back in October had to do with something related to water.

What do you mean by they're all the same? The pictures I posted(from Walter) are all different. (If the pictures is even what your talking about being the same)

I think it's interesting they're making such a to-do over the toilets being relocated- unless they're going to be super-stellar and over the top sort of loos (Which I'd find rather interesting- but not counting on it.)... Unless there's a clue AT that site- somewhere around the building.
