After some hard thinking and decision-making, I am prepared to announce my decision about which college I plan on attending. Each of the four are very unique and made it hard to pick and choose.
I also want to add that it may have an impact on the site in a good way. In stead of spill the beans now, I will post the details tomorrow night. I do know that one or two of you might like my choice.

That's all I'll say for now....

Well I do know what it is because you told me on Yahoo - lol. Wink Again, congrats!

And by the way, I still can't believe we saw you and your dad in the Cracker Barrel parking lot on Saturday. Too bad you couldn't have stopped by here, but then we were heading to HP later.

I have decided where I want to attend college and it is at....

    Penn State Harrisburg! cheers

I believe I've made a great decision because it is not tremendously far from home, but I am at a distance that I can have my own life, the dorm rooms have to be the best out of the other colleges I have visited, and I am happy to be accepted into their Mechanical Engineering program. I visited the campus again on Monday to get a better look and I am happy to choose this place. I will hopefully start attending in Fall 2010. I guess an added bonus is that it is near a theme park. Since I kind of want to go into that business, I am thinking about seeing if I can apply for a job there. The only problems are seeing if Capital Area Transit offers a bus stop to there or if I might meet someone who works there at college.

There are CAT busses that pickes up a lot of park employees. You would have to hope your work schedule follows the bus schedule.

Isn't that why they recently built that new complex in downtown? To service most of the local major bus companies? That's what I heard back around 2005 when those plans were being put to the table.

Is everybody ready for the snowstorm that's coming? Where I am, we're supposed to get 12+ inches. I can't wait. I like it when it snows, except it hinders going outside for certain things.

Does anyone know when the best time to visit Disney World is? In terms of low crowds, not too hot weather, etc..

    ^Now.

We are supposed to have 6 to 12 inches here, but after just looking at the forcast, our area seems to be on the 13 to 20 inch line (I hope not).
Today is my birthday (18 years old! Woot!) and this is NOT what I wanted.

Luckly I did go bowling this morning. I am also happy to say that I feel that my relationship-part of my life seems to looking up. I'm hoping to see if something will spark between my bowling teammate and me. I seems so since she wished me happy birthday today and her mom announced my birthday throughout the bowling alley.

It's kind of one of those birthday presents that makes you happy inside. Smile

Is everyones offseason depression sinking in? When we go for days without posting something, something must be wrong.

    OR

The other possibility is that the PA parks are being boring right now and won't give us anything to talk about.

Probably what many people's answer will be:

    Both.

I hate the offseason of parks (not for development of new rides, of course), and one of the reasons why is because there is nothing interesting to talk about the parks. Exclamation

    I'd have to say both.
Dorney and Kennywood are getting something big, but they are both either late on construction or there isn't news coming in from them. Hershey is getting new entertainment, Dutch Wonderland seems to be getting nothing and Knoebels so far seems to be the most interesting lately with work starting up on Black Diamond and the unknown status of Flying Turns (which they seem to be mysteriously keeping very quiet about).

Right now, I've been very busy with bowling which I seem to be 3rd in the county. I have also been busy hanging out with friends and went on a date (maybe I should make a relationships thread or something Embarassed ).

It may seem like the season is so far away from starting, but next month is March. Warmer weather is not too far away! cheers

I think some of the PA parks aren't even worth talking about, thus why nothing's ever been started in some of the sections. As you all know, Hershey gets the most attention since we're all basically #1 Hershey fans around this site, with Kennywood, Knoebels and Dutch Wonderland trailing behind (second-most attention-wise). I see that as the trend around here. Wink

^ I've noticed the same thing.

It's sad how we only have 29 users right now. We should try and come up with ideas to spread the word about the site, get it known. (Both this site and the other one with the gallery, etc..)

Not me. We were supposed to go up to Chocolate World tomorrow for the parade but now we're going on Sunday. At least I'll be able to get some pretty off-season pix of the park in the snow with the sun out.

This "huge snowstorm" they were predicting didn't even drop a flake of snow on us. Washington D.C got all the heavy stuff. In a way it's good, in a way - I like the snow.

-Another note: I almost went the whole winter without getting sick. Just this weekend I wasn't felling to good. Probably another sinus infection. Hopefully it clears up soon. Exclamation Wink

There's alot of sickness going around. A few people at my job weren't feeling well. My mom and I both had coughs that were just annoying and I had a stuffed up head and sore throat for about a week. One of the things I hate about winter besides all the snow.

We got 21 inches of snow and it kind of KO'd us and took a day to clean it all up. I was kind of bummed that it ruined Saturday because I was going to go bowling.

As far as sickness goes, I HATE catching colds and I ended up having one all last week. Luckly I'm over it now.

And as far as the next snowstorm for tomorrow and Wednesday, I kind of feel better about this one, but there is one small detail I'm not happy with............... WHERE AM I GOING TO STUFF THE 12 TO 18 INCHES THEY'RE CALLING FOR?!? My front yard already has around 3 feet of snow! Maybe I'll us it to make something. How about 2 full-size bowling lanes made out of snow? Very Happy
Hopefully I won't have school Wednesday and have a 2 hour delay Thursday. That way that bowling match at Hazleton won't get cancelled! I don't have school Friday so that's a plus. Smile

Alright, this is getting rediculous. Two blizzards in one week with each dumping at least 2 feet of snow. This has to be worse than the storm in 1996. I went out at 10am this morning and with two 1/2 hour breaks, finished shoveling everything out by 5:30, but then had to shovel my grandmother out.
Right now there is a 5 to 6 foot wall of snow surrounding my driveway and sidewalk.

I hate snow, I'm tired, and I want to rest all day tomorrow.

Bad news: Another storm is coming in from the West and might dump another 6 or so inches..

Honetly this snow is getting kinda old. Its so much to shovel and me and my dad are responsable for 3 driveways and sidewalks. What makes it even worse is that two of them are corner lots and our township requires the sidewalks to be shoveled 24 hours after the snow stops falling.

What angers me is adults who act like little kids and say they love the snow and want more of it. Sometimes I'd love to have them come and shovel out our driveway since they like it so much Wink . I agree with Ccron10. I'm just sick of it and want spring to get here....fast.

Thanks. I kind of thought it was about time to remove the Christmas background style ( I should've removed it sooner, but I never got around to it).

2 months until graduation, I have a good amount of parks I plan on visiting this year and I will be heading up to Erie in less than two weeks for a bowling tournament.

Now the next big hurdle is dealing with alergies which are going to make feel terrible for the next few weeks! Sad

I didn't really know where to post this but whatever lol.
I'll be going to Niagara Falls and the area this summer, sometime around the end of July to early August. The way the plans are, I'll be stopping at a few places on the way home. Possibly Knoebels, if I can make my way east on I-90 and take some roads south to route 15 and further south. I might also go to the Lake George area if I go east. If not, then I may go out to Dorney Park and spend a day there, finally making my way back east and home. It'll be a fun road trip : P
So wherever I go, I'll be sure to take some pictures and hopefully have a TR up once I'm done. If anyone knows of some good places and attractions that could fit into the direction I'm going, please suggest them
    Very Happy

There is Marineland in the Niagra Falls area that has and Arrow looper, a 300 ft tall drop tower, and a second coaster. From pictures it looks like a nicely themed park.

Okay, I'm heading out to Niagara Falls today, hopefully making it there by morning. Smile gonna be a long drive.
August 3rd-ish, I'm going to stop at Knoebels and spend a day there and in Bloomsburg. After that, I could possibly make it to Dorney or somewhere else, but that's not official.
I'll be less frequent on the boards but try and read the posts as much as I can get a connection. Smile PTR at the end!

Well, just got back a little early (this morning, to be exact) from my trip out to Niagara Falls. This will be a short post for now until I get to sit down on my computer for a little longer and maybe have a TR up.
The falls were great! If I was to compare this trip with my last one, it would top it with things I did 10:1. I'll elaborate like I said a little later, with some pictures too.

I didn't get to go to Knoebels or Marineland yet alone anywhere else because on Saturday night I wound up breaking my foot (5th metatarsal, right foot) in my hotel. Mad So, no rides, little walking. Luckily I did all the big stuff in Niagara Falls, but I could have been riding the Phoenix or Twister right now! Neutral Instead, I have a half-leg cast on until Fall.

I wish I broke it in a more interesting way, but it happened when I fell down a flight of stairs in my hotel trying to get coffee lol. Exclamation

    So...
Broken foot is healed...but I'm in a bulky walking boot now Smile At least I can walk around and get things done instead of using crutches all the time. Very Happy
Going to therapy now so I should be 100% soon. If I didn't break my foot then I probably could've squeezed a HP trip in. Exclamation
